Hunter Wyatt Parker is here!

Well the pregnancy went great, the surgery went great and our baby boy is here! Originally we were supposed to be at the hospital at 10:30am and surgery was scheduled for 12:30, well to my dismay on pre-op day they told me the time had been changed to an arrival time of 5:30!!! I was upset because we had planned to wake up and take Cohen to breakfast before dropping him off at school :( So, we with our plan disrupted we went to Cohen's 7:30 game that didnt end till after 9! After his game we met and dropped him off with Justin's parents and finally got home and in bed around 11! Bright eyed and bushy tailed we drove to the hospital as a family of 3 and were going to be leaving a family of 4!! The staff at Rockdale Medical were so nice and attentive. They did not take their time getting me undressed and ready for surgery. Since Cohen's birth was a little chaotic we asked family and friends to give a us our alone time till we got moved to the waiting room and Cohen was introduced to his baby brother. Well 7:30 rolled around and they wheeled me back, had the spinal (which was sooo much better than an epidural!) Dr. Duhart which is AMAZING!! came in, Justin was to follow and they got to work! So May 2nd 2012 @8:16am weighing 7lbs 15.3oz and 20in long Hunter Wyatt Parker was born! Boy did he have a set of lungs on him!! At this point my blood pressure was dropping, having a sweat fest and nauseated but thanks to the nice man with the drugs I bounced back quickly as Justin was coming around the corner with our baby.

We wanted to make Cohens transition smooth as possibly, he has been the only kid with our full attention for the past 5 1/2 years now. Justin's parents brought him up to the hospital around 10 and he was sooo excited to meet his brother. His first reaction was,

"He's got big muscles like me!" We were glad to see he liked him and wanted to give him his present.

He is such a good baby and still is!
At his 2 week appointment he had already gained so much weight Dr. Miller said to skip the 1 month and just come back to see her for his 2 month, So next week that's where will be. If he has to gets shots I might just cry!

Round two!!

Well it's true folks, Cohen is going to be a BIG BROTHER! I'm going to make this sweet and short.
Due May 7th, my friend Rachel will be telling us the sex of the baby hopefully around Thanksgiving time, and we just told Cohen tonight. I had told him earlier today that Daddy & I had a surprise for him and all he could  ask was, "does it have big  tires? "does it have a remote control". I kept telling him after his practice we'll go out for ice cream and we will tell him. So this is how it went...

After I quit filming I also told him that he could have his toys back that had been taken away for almost a week, his mood changed quickly! I asked him was he excited about being a Big Brother and he said, "I want it to be a boy cause that's what Braden (his Cousin) has, but if it's a girl that's ok too cause Braden has one of those too." That was the extent of his excitement and all he cared about after that was getting his toys from up stairs. Cohen is wonderful with little kids and babies, always so loving and doesn't like to see them cry or wimper. We shall see how long that last when he is woken up night after night. That's the end of my story for now!

Cohen's 1st T-ball game

After all the anticipation and practices the big day was finally here! Cohen's 1st t-ball game! He was beyond thrilled to play and even more excited that all the family and are friends were going to be there.
Staci and I were in the dugout getting the boys ready so it was kind of hard to get all the shots I wanted of the boys but I did manage to snap a few.. this is when Chass would come in handy!
Cohen did great at hitting the ball, running and catching the ball (when it actually came to him)

So far we have had 3 games and they have all done amazingly well . I'm so proud of my little man for getting out there  and being a team player, he's done so well and we all have enjoyed watching him play!

LET'S GO DODGERS!!!!!

It's time to make memories that will last forever! Some of my fondest memories were spent at the ball field. I love every minute of it, the competition, drive, skill, and making new friends. When we signed Cohen up for t-ball all I could think about was how much fun he was about to have and how this is the beginning of all that is which to come with him growing up. It's bitter sweet to have your baby signed up for T-Ball & Pre-K in the same month :(

This year especially is going to be fun seeing how Cohen and his cousin Ace are on the same team the... LA Dodgers! And to top that both their dads are the coaches! He had his 1st practice March 2, 2011 and it was the cutest thing i had ever seen! He was so excited to see his cousin and to get to play some baseball! Though half the time the boys were having a competition of who can get their pants the dirtiest they still all did very well! On a funny note I tried to pass on the oh so famous & legendary  #17 that my brother and I wore all through our "career" while Justin tried to pawn his #3 on him but in the end he opted for the #5. I figured he could start his own legacy number now :)

Coach Shane giving tips to Cohen
I cannot wait for the games to start and for Cohen to learn a little bit about the fundamentals of the game but mostly I hope he walks away with a scene of accomplishment & success. Seeing how he is 4 I expect nothing of him but to have fun and be a kid. (He can train for the BRAVES when his school work is done :)
So to my son,
Have fun, pay attention, do the very best that you can and PLAY BALL!!
Love you Punkin
