Chubsters

I cannot believe it has been 2 months since our little baby entered this world! He is such a good baby, a bit spoiled but happy none the less! Breastfeeding is going well. We had trouble around 2weeks and he had spit up blood. With my soreness I didn't freak out that much and knew he had swallowed blood but when it happened again 10 minutes after the 1st time and it was everywhere I sobbed like a baby and called my trusty BF pro Mom/Best friend/Cousin-in-Law Chassidy!! I knew she would have the answers! I met with a lactation consultant and she informed me Hunter had a slight tongue tie. She mentioned all the risk of letting it be and since it was a slight tie he may not have any of them, but they were enough for me to want to go through with the procedure. A couple of days later after visiting our Pediatrician we headed to the ENT to have his clip. As I held there holding his hand and a nurse holding his arms while the Doctor snipped I had sweat seeping through my grey shirt. I hate to see my babies hurt, especially when they're only 2weeks old!! But he did GREAT!! only whimpered when they held him down and he fed right after it was done. It was like night and day the way he latched!! As you can see he has no problem getting enough as he has already doubled his birth weight! His personality is starting to show and boy is he calm, not at all what Cohen was like ;) He does like to be held upright and looking around. The mornings he just giggles and coo's which is nice and I love it but it's a bit much at 4 in the morning. He started sleeping pretty much through the night around 6 weeks. Down at 10 up at 5 to eat right back down till around 7 and stays up till around 9 and up for good around 11. A couple of short naps and one good long nap late afternoon.

  • He loves the bath and the sound of water and actually fell asleep in the tub one time.
  • Loves to be outside, which has been kind of hard with the temps in the 100s!
  • Not a fan of the bottle the 3 times that he has had one, which is fine because i'll be staying home!! Post to come later!!!
  • Has blown out his diaper a few different times, a couple on me...uhhh
  • Only peed without a diaper off twice, once wrapped in a towel and being held by Cohen..that was funny!
  • We're still not sure what color his eyes are, they look like they have green in them but still not sure.
  • Started drooling, a lot, and his favorite toy so far is Mr. Monkey which is ironic because we call him either Chubsters or Chunky Monkey

Hunter Wyatt Parker is here!

Well the pregnancy went great, the surgery went great and our baby boy is here! Originally we were supposed to be at the hospital at 10:30am and surgery was scheduled for 12:30, well to my dismay on pre-op day they told me the time had been changed to an arrival time of 5:30!!! I was upset because we had planned to wake up and take Cohen to breakfast before dropping him off at school :( So, we with our plan disrupted we went to Cohen's 7:30 game that didnt end till after 9! After his game we met and dropped him off with Justin's parents and finally got home and in bed around 11! Bright eyed and bushy tailed we drove to the hospital as a family of 3 and were going to be leaving a family of 4!! The staff at Rockdale Medical were so nice and attentive. They did not take their time getting me undressed and ready for surgery. Since Cohen's birth was a little chaotic we asked family and friends to give a us our alone time till we got moved to the waiting room and Cohen was introduced to his baby brother. Well 7:30 rolled around and they wheeled me back, had the spinal (which was sooo much better than an epidural!) Dr. Duhart which is AMAZING!! came in, Justin was to follow and they got to work! So May 2nd 2012 @8:16am weighing 7lbs 15.3oz and 20in long Hunter Wyatt Parker was born! Boy did he have a set of lungs on him!! At this point my blood pressure was dropping, having a sweat fest and nauseated but thanks to the nice man with the drugs I bounced back quickly as Justin was coming around the corner with our baby.

We wanted to make Cohens transition smooth as possibly, he has been the only kid with our full attention for the past 5 1/2 years now. Justin's parents brought him up to the hospital around 10 and he was sooo excited to meet his brother. His first reaction was,

"He's got big muscles like me!" We were glad to see he liked him and wanted to give him his present.

He is such a good baby and still is!
At his 2 week appointment he had already gained so much weight Dr. Miller said to skip the 1 month and just come back to see her for his 2 month, So next week that's where will be. If he has to gets shots I might just cry!

The final stretch, if I was still able to even touch my toes.

How Far Along? 35 Weeks!!

Total weight gain/loss? 20lbs!!

Best Moment this week? Finally cleaning the house and getting all the laundry caught up. Picking a doctor to do the c-section and having her put in the requested date for May 2nd!!

Miss Anything? Being able to bend over or turn to the side, sleeping without tossing and turning all night, being tone, my cheekbones....

Cravings? Smoothies

Name? Still our little secret

Movements? It's past the "cute" stage of flutters and moved to Chuck Norris does round kicks to my bladder

Happy or Moody? Annoyed, anxious to have things scheduled and ready to go.
Crazy Dreams? My 1st bad dream, it was sad :'(

Looking forward to? My next visit to hear if we got the May 2nd Date and what time so I can plan everything out with work and when and where Cohen will be since he will be the 1st person to meet our little guy before anyone else does.

The McRib is Back!!

27 Weeks
Shoved, poked, kicked, jabbed, punched, these are just a few of the wonderful things that are going on in my ever growing uterus. As you may know, Cohen was breech and thus making his come via c-section. As for the moment so is this kid and i'm not thrilled one bit. I am uncomfortable, miserable, annoyed and just plain tired of sitting lop sided to spare my ribs the pain. They say this is the one time when women are to feel beautiful and enjoying every moment. Well they lied, I cannot complain this go round about morning sickness but i'm pretty sure my esophagus has had it's last spit up before shutting down. Me and Tums are best friends these days.

Here we go...

How Far Along? This Sunday will be 28weeks
Total weight gain/loss? 8lbs!!
Best Moment this week? Though the trim is not done (Justin!) decided to paint the other side of the Baby's room.  Oh and we FINALLY agreed upon a name!!!!!
Miss Anything? Still Sushi and Sub Sammiches!
Cravings? I bought out Publix when I saw they had blueberries 2/$5, i bought 6 packs and they were gone in less than a week! Can you overdose on blueberries??
Name? FINALLY CAME AGREED ON ONE!!!! Well it was more or less getting Justin to agree with me :) He did agree that he did not think it would be this hard!
Movements? Ohhhhh YEAH!! He likes to jam out in the car like Cohen and I!
Happy or Moody? Aside from the rib pains and painful jabs pretty good!
Crazy Dreams? I ran over Justin in the garage for no reason just cause he was there... oops woke up laughing and told him about it, he slowly scooted away from me haha
Looking forward to? Erica and I's baby shower! The room is mostly done except for wall decor & we still need a dresser for clothes but other than that it's ready for everything to be put on , up and away!

No that's not where we are putting the crib, it was moved so I could paint the next wall

Cohen helped paint this with me!

110 Days Left!

How Far Along? 25 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss? 5lbs
Stretch Marks? Nope
Best moment this week? Moving the guest room back upstairs and getting Cohen's room all painted and him moved over, the baby's room is semi painted!
Miss anything? Sushi & Publix subs!
Cravings? Little Cuties!! I could eat one every 30 minutes, fruit & veggies!
Gender? It's a Boy!
Name? No, not that we're going to tell, but we still have yet to come up with anything worth naming our little man
Movements? I have nicknamed him Kung Fu Panda, he likes to kick my bladder and punch me. owch!
Happy or Moody? Happy for the most part, once things are washed and put up I will feel more at ease.
Crazy Dreams? I have always heard with your second you go a little earlier than the 1st so I have had this fear that I will not make it to the c-sec date (which we will schedule in a few weeks, we're shooting for May 2nd, Cohen's due date was October 7th and we had him on the 2nd, this baby's due date is the 7th so we're hoping to have him on the 2nd as well)
Looking foward to? Aside from the obvious, taking Cohen to let him pick out his "Big Brother" gift. :)

Round two!!

Well it's true folks, Cohen is going to be a BIG BROTHER! I'm going to make this sweet and short.
Due May 7th, my friend Rachel will be telling us the sex of the baby hopefully around Thanksgiving time, and we just told Cohen tonight. I had told him earlier today that Daddy & I had a surprise for him and all he could  ask was, "does it have big  tires? "does it have a remote control". I kept telling him after his practice we'll go out for ice cream and we will tell him. So this is how it went...

After I quit filming I also told him that he could have his toys back that had been taken away for almost a week, his mood changed quickly! I asked him was he excited about being a Big Brother and he said, "I want it to be a boy cause that's what Braden (his Cousin) has, but if it's a girl that's ok too cause Braden has one of those too." That was the extent of his excitement and all he cared about after that was getting his toys from up stairs. Cohen is wonderful with little kids and babies, always so loving and doesn't like to see them cry or wimper. We shall see how long that last when he is woken up night after night. That's the end of my story for now!
